Typically, it takes 1-2 weeks to issue a visa, but this timeframe may vary depending on the type of visa and It generally takes longer if additional documents are required for further assessment.

Short-term visa will be expired within 3 months after it is issued (single entry).

Applications need to be lodged in person except minors ages under 18 at the travel agencies accredited by Consulate-General of Japan, Melbourne.Applications will be lodged by the travel agencies to Consulate-General of Japan, Melbourne. Applicants will receive passport and visa from the travel agents.

visa applicants must come in person to apply for visa. As an exception, the family member (Not friends or agents) can apply for a visa on behalf of the applicant with any documents showing the relationship as family, such as marriage certificate, birth certificate or an authorisation letter.

Our service fee is $132.00 per applicant, and it is non-refundable.
*If you require us to return your passport by post, we will charge a postage fee of $22.00 for Registered Post, $33.00 for Express post and delivery typically takes 2-7 days. Our office is not responsible for delay of delivery or loss of passports in the mail.

◆The passport holder of visa fee exemption countries such as Australia, New Zealand, USA, Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Colombia and Pakistan etc will be free, (Please check the visa exempt countries list to find out if your visa fee is waived)

◆Single Entry for China, Indonesia, Vietnam etc Passport holder: $32.00

  Multiple Entry Visa for China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines Passport holder: $65.00

  Single Entry visa or Multiple Entry visa for Indian Passport holder: $9.00

※Japan has taken measures on the visa exemption arrangements for Short-Term Stay for 70 countries/regions such as Australia , New Zealand, USA, UK, Honk Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Brazil etc.

Once visa is ready, please e-mail (mel-in@his-oceania.com) us a request of collection with attached an Authorisation letter written and signed by the applicant.

If you'd like to choose Express post delivery service with registered post (signature), additional $11.00 applies.

It is very rare for passport to go missing in the mail.
However please understand that we cannot guarantee of this issue.

To apply for Digital Nomad visa, you must have insurance against death, injury and illness during your stay in Japan (the amount of compensation for medical treatment due to injury or illness must be at least 10 million yen), and you must submit the insurance certificate or other documents you have purchased at the time of application.

For other categories of visa, it is not mandatory to have travel insurance, but if you happen to use a medical institution during your stay in Japan, you may be able to avoid incurring expensive medical expenses if you have insurance.
